Week 9 PLE

* What are some ways you can tell that you have successfully integrated technology into your lesson?
If the students learn what they are supposed to learn, then the technology was successful. If the technology is solely for entertainment than it is not appropriate to waste classroom time. However, if it inspires a child or encourages a child to seek learning, than the technology was helpful to their learning experience.
* What do you feel technology should accomplish in order to be a legitimate addition to your lesson?
There are certain criteria established by the state what a child should learn at a certain age level. However, it is difficult to know what a special education student should know at their age. So, it should be evident that a student is learning.
* What indicators can tell you whether or not you have chosen an appropriate technology for your lesson?
If the child is distracted from the purpose of the lesson, than the technology is a hindrance and not appropriate. If it engages a student, especially one that doesn't normally enjoy participating in usual activities, than the technology is appropriate.
